Vernon County Health Department
The Vernon County Health Department is located in Nevada, Missouri. Our mission is to promote health in our community.
On October 23, 1973, the Vernon County Health Department opened as a demonstration unit. On May 24, 1974, the voters of Vernon County passed a $.10 tax levy to support the county health department. The Health Department is governed by a five member board of Trustees, who are elected for four-year terms.
